Brett Kimberlin

I've been late coming to the party on this story, and for that I am truly sorry.  This ongoing saga shows the true, vicious side of progressives.  Mark Krikorian at NRO has a good introduction.

Patterico outlines a truly shocking campaign of intimidation against him, Stacy McCain, and other bloggers by a leftist convicted felon named Brett Kimberlin, whose non-profit group is funded by George Soros, Teresa Heinz-Kerry, Barbra Streisand, et al. I’d seen references to this creep, but the story was convoluted and posts on it seemed to start in mid-story, which is why I was glad to see Mark Tapscott at the Examiner offer a brief introduction to Kimberlin’s villainy, while Michelle Malkin has aggregated links.

Reading about Kimberlin’s violation of his victims suggests something more reminiscent of Cape Fear than Absence of Malice. The outrage is not that there’s another leftist threatening violence against those who disagree with him, but that the authorities haven’t done anything about it. In the end, this is about the rule of law even more than free expression.
Stacy McCain has been forced from his home, and has a long series of posts in this category link.  Patterico has more here.

The OC promises to stay on this one.
