Back from hiatus

Hiatus

As I posted before, the OC will be on hiatus for about 7 weeks.  The plan is to be back up and running come the second week of March, perhaps sooner.  Or with an intermittent post along the way.  However, there will be no regular blogging during this period.  I hope you all will understand.

Please feel free to subscribe or sign up for our emails so you can be alerted when we are back to blogging.  Look to the right sidebar.

In the meantime, all the best to those on the right.  And keep your eye out for even more flim flam from The One.

I'm back

Excellent vacation.  Unfortunately, only home for another week or so, then away again - this time for over a month.  So this will be a short interlude of posts, then another dark period.  Hope you can all understand.

Vacation Time

The OC is off on vacation for two weeks.  Posting may or may not occur, predominantly as a function of internet access.  Will be quasi off  the grid so who knows.

Short Break

With the Christmas rush and family activities, we took a short break from the blog.  But with Phil Robertson, Obamacare and more on the plate, we'll be back later today with more posting.

Just as a note, the OC will be taking a vacation break starting December 26th for 2 weeks.  And then a longer break for 6 weeks late in January.  Like John Beale, we'll be off on a secret mission for the CIA.  Unlike Beale, there won't be an EPA paycheck coming in.

Life Happens

Some major crap happened in my life.  Obama's re-election didn't help any, but I am over that.  No, not really.  He still has a way of just grating on me....the sound of that smug voice is just like fingernails on a chalkboard.  I have to remember the cost of that big-screen TV every time I want to throw a shoe at him on the screen.

Anyhow, I'm back from the kinda-dead.  I know that I'm going to have to take a 7 week hiatus in late January, but we'll see how it goes before then - and after.

As for the kinda dead:  I still have some health insurance for now, so I'm back seeing my doctor again.  BP is too high, ditto on cholesterol and glucose.  New meds, need to lose some weight, do more activity and, gasp, exercise.  I don't like going to a gym, and the weather is getting worse.  Maybe I'll spring for some of that cold-weather gear from REI or Cabelas, so I won't have that excuse.

Back from Hiatus

The OC had to take some time away from the internet, but is back to keep you posted on what's happening out there.  Sorry for the absence, but I'm revved and ready for the run to November.  And so should you.

Light blogging

Due to travel, there will be light blogging until Sunday. But be sure to tune in later, as we'll be catching up then. Excuse me while I go to turn off The One who's delivering a speech on TV right now. Would that it be that easy in real life.
